About Tailwind US
Founded in Japan in 2021, Tailwind US has grown into a leading provider of engineering solutions for renewable energy systems, aviation services, and government contracting. The company was established by Tadahiko Babazono, a licensed airplane and helicopter pilot, to offer specialized engineering support for inverters, wind turbines, and electrical systems. Additionally, Tadahiko operates a fleet of aircraft in Japan, expanding Tailwind’s expertise in aviation operations.
Tailwind is backed by a team of 10 highly skilled engineers, each bringing extensive experience in field operations, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Some having over six years of expertise, reaching advanced levels in their respective fields.
Aviation Services & Expansion
In February 2023, Tailwind expanded into the aviation industry, acquiring three aircrafts Cessna C-172, Beechcraft Bonanza A36 and Twin-Engine Aircraft to support flight training, flight club operations, and maintenance support flights.
Disaster Relief and Global Expansion
Tailwind has actively participated in disaster recovery efforts in Japan and surrounding regions. Following the Noto Earthquake on January 1, 2024, the team attempted to provide emergency support to affected communities. In March 2024, Tailwind collaborated with manufacturers’ managers to inspect and assess electrical equipment in the affected areas.
Currently, Tailwind operates primarily in Japan, providing field support and maintenance services for German and international companies. The company is now expanding into the United States, with plans to establish operations in the EU, Oceania, and Asia. In a near future, Tailwind will launch a new renewable energy project, further reinforcing its role in renewable energy and aviation services.
Expansion into the United States
To strengthen its global presence, Tailwind has established Tailwind US LLC, bringing its expertise in commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of MVPS, including SMA’s CP, KODIAK, TRANSFORMERS, and Switchgear, to the U.S. market. The U.S. division is co-owned by Guiviel Miranda, a U.S. Navy veteran with a strong background in engineering, business, and licensed aviation maintenance.
With a commitment to innovation, reliability, and excellence, Tailwind US aims to deliver top-tier engineering and aviation services while expanding its role as a trusted service provider for renewable energy, aviation, and government contracting. As we grow, our mission remains clear: to provide dependable, high-quality solutions that drive advancements in both aviation and renewable energy industries worldwide.
